Description of Tool or App

Go Animate is a web tool that allows you to create animated videos. This site lets you easily create videos for class lessons, presentations, or projects.

You can get the free application which gives you a few templates and characters. You can upgrade to the plus plan or buy a plan that is for business or school.





Benefits of Tool or App

  • Easy to subscribe to site; only requires email address and password

  • Basic subscription is free, but you can upgrade to a plus version or a business or school version

  • Plus version offers more settings and character options for only $6.00 a month and they notify you before charging your account in case you want to return to the basic plan

  • You can create professional looking videos quickly and easily

  • Tutorials are provided, but the site is pretty self explanatory.

  • Can upload to YouTube, convert to mp4 video, connect with Facebook and Twitter

  • Great for using in the Flipped Classroom setting


Constraints of Tool or App

  • Basic version is limited in scenes you get for free

  • Basic version only gives you 2 mintues of video


How To Use Tool or App

  1. Go to GoAnimate.com and register with an email address and password

  2. Click on Make a Video

  3. Choose Quick Video maker if you have the basic or full version or Full Video Maker if you have plus version

  4. Pick your setting (i.e. Anime, The School Chroncles. Election 2012)

  5. Select the template

  6. Choose your characters

  7. Type in dialogue or record your dialogue

  8. Set actions for the characters (i.e. sitting, standing, running, talking)

  9. Add next scene; can add more characters to each scene

  10. Preview

  11. Save

  12. Download or share with others using Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube
